Super Blogging is Esoteric

I feel that to

reply to the comments at

and update

a new,

super blog,

requires peculiar skills,

like Stoic endurance,

Spartan existence,

hard mental discipline.

Let's look into some basic
instructions and descriptions

from the Yoga Sutras
(Threads of Union)
of Patanjali,

translated by BonGiovanni.

Before beginning any spiritual text it is customary to clear the mind of all distracting thoughts, to calm the breath and to purify the heart.

[The first 13 stanzas of Part One]

1.1 Now, instruction in Union.

1.2. Union is restraining the thought-streams natural to the mind.

1.3. Then the seer dwells in his own nature.

1.4. Otherwise he is of the same form as the thought-streams.

1.5. The thought-streams are five-fold, painful and not painful.

1.6. Right knowledge, wrong knowledge, fancy, sleep, and memory.

1.7. Right knowledge is inference, tradition, and genuine cognition.

1.8. Wrong knowledge is false, illusory, erroneous beliefs, or notions.

1.9. Fancy is following after word-knowledge [that is] empty of substance [empty rhetoric, nonsense about nothing, drivel].

1.10. Deep sleep is the modification of the mind which has for its substratum nothingness.

1.11. Memory is not allowing mental impressions to escape [clinging to past events].

1.12. These thought-streams are controlled by practice and non-attachment.

1.13. Practice is the effort to secure steadiness.

[STREIGHT commentary]:

UNION of BLOG and YOGA, explained...

What does blogging have in common with yoga mind science?

I see the connection, the mental link, being focus.

When we meditate on a metaphysical object,

we focus in an extra-ordinary manner.

When we write blog posts,

we focus in a super-ordinary manner.

Blogging is more than self-expression.

Blogging is more than post writing.

Blogging is more than idea transmission.

Blogging is more than social reorganization.

Blogging is more than user interaction.

Blogging is...

...personal transformation.

A blog post form,

in which we type in

our writings that contain

our thinkings,

is a mental mirror.

What do you see in

your bloggy mental mirror?

What enters the form

is what comes from within.

To Publish Post is

to Manifest Mind.

We strive to publish

blog posts

that are free of

the modifications of

That is, we seek to only

manifest pure mind,

Mind in Its

Nature as Light.

Pure Light Mind

no hatred

no envy

no craving

no cruelty

no greed

no confusion

no deception

no manipulation

no exploitation.

To achieve this,

we practice choiceless

observation of

the movements of Mind.

This is called Meditation.

This is called Mindfulness.

This is called Indifference.

steadies us as we

compose blog posts.

energizes us as we

compose blog posts.

instructs us as we

compose blog posts.
